The eagle
The incredible story of the golden eagle tells us that this bird can live up to 70 years; however, when it reaches 40, its feathers become so heavy that it has trouble flying, its beak is so curved that it hurts itself, and its nails are so long that it can no longer hold its prey. It is at this moment that they must make a difficult decision: go through a 150-day process of painful renewal , or die.
This process consists of flying to the top of a mountain and taking refuge in a nest near a wall, where it does not need to fly. Then, the eagle, now in refuge, will begin to hit its beak against the wall until it manages to tear it off; once it has been amputated, it will have to wait for a new beak to grow, with which it will then have to tear off its old claws.
When the new claws begin to grow, it will be time to shed its old feathers by plucking them out with its new beak.
After five very hard months, during which it regains a strong and young beak, shiny and silky feathers and useful claws, the golden eagle will emerge victorious by executing its renewal flight and from then on will have 30 more years of life, the most glorious years.
There are two key words in the eagle's story: decision and process. If the eagle decides to go through the painful process of renewal, it has to isolate itself on top of a mountain and beat its beak against the rocks until it falls completely, then wait for it to grow, tear off its claws one by one and with the new ones it must remove all its wings so that new ones can grow. Finally, renewed, the eagle can live 30 more years.
Similar situations happen to us throughout our lives.
When we know that it is time to change and improve in order to continue, and understand that it is a complicated and painful process that must be gone through, most people may begin to give up, because they will feel afraid of how complicated it will be and the pain they will experience, something that is not very encouraging for many; however, it is not impossible.
