The Penguins
Despite always traveling in groups, penguins choose a partner for life, which is why it is believed that these animals are a symbol of romanticism because they are monogamous, and they have a special ritual to make their partner fall in love with them.
Emperor penguins are known to work together while foraging for food, and share many behaviors with other Antarctic and sub-Antarctic penguin species.
As for evolution, according to paleontologists, penguins might have been a species that was capable of flight. But after many years of evolution, the wings of penguins turned into thin wings and they adapted to watery environments. In this sense, penguins remind us that we can evolve and that we don't have to wait millions of years to do so. The ability to adapt on the part of this animal reminds us that we can do the same; in a way it encourages us to do what we can in life, to survive and find joy in our world. As for the fact of unconventionality, the penguin is a bird, as we said before, that is capable of flight. If this is not paradoxical, we do not know what it can be. This is something symbolic in itself, it is a metaphor that tells us that we do not necessarily have to act as expected of us, that is, just because we have wings does not mean that we have to fly in this case. For example, one can aspire to be a musician even if all his family are lawyers. This reminds us that we don't always have to do what we're told, we can't let our family or society guide our steps and pressure us into our decisions, we can choose unconventional paths if it's what suits us and what we like. The penguin reminds us that we don't have to do what we're told and we don't have to have a submissive behavior. Another surprising element is the fact that penguins have adapted in an incredible way to the environment and we say this because penguins can drink salt water and they are able to do so because they have a specialized gland that filters the salt. This is a metaphor that encourages us to do the same. The energy of these animals reminds us that we can filter the impurities from our lives, to know how to handle negative situations that we may go through throughout our lives, to endure adverse situations and try to keep the positive aspects of each situation no matter how bad it is.
